I wonder about her. How did she end up in Mount Carmel Cemetery, so close to Chicago, without a head? Did she flee the islands of New York only to die here? Was she kind and good? Was she killed? I suppose if her body has no head like her statue shows, it wasn’t a natural death. Did she know her assailant? Was it a lover? Someone who was jealous? An enemy of her family?
